Founded in 1994 by the Lompoc Valley Art Association, the Cypress Gallery showcases the art of over 60 well known local artists. Art lovers will find a variety of fine art in the Gallery: watercolors, oils, acrylics, pastels, mixed media, photography, ceramics, jewelry, souvenirs, and great gift ideas. Prices are very reasonable and one of the artists is always available to assist you.

Each month brings a new exhibit to the Cypress Gallery, often with a new "Featured Artist" show in the South room. Preview this month's gallery show below or browse a directory of some of our Cypress Gallery artists on our Artist Directory page. Our artists also have rotating shows at the Lompoc Hospital and in several locations around town. To visit these locations, please check out the Traveling Art Show schedule.

"Midlife Crisis and the Colorado Trail" packing over the hill

April 28 - June 1
Reception: Saturday May 3 from 1-3 PM

mountain landscape May's featured artist is Lynda Schiff. Her exhibition, "Midlife Crisis and the Colorado Trail" shares photographs from a 50 mile Colorado backpack trip taken last summer. The title of the show came from the ages of the five friends who converged in Colorado from various parts of the US to take the trip (the youngest was 49 at the time and the oldest was 64.). Photographs taken along the trail will help answer the mystery of what draws people to backpacking. Please join us at the reception on Saturday, May 3 from 1 - 3 pm.
